Who owns milan in baltimore

The party of 20 didn't leave until after 9 pm and because of this, our party didn't start until much later than it was supposed to even though out contract clearly stated a start time of 8 pm.

When confronting 'Smitty,' I had to go track him down in the restaurant because apparently his employees were too busy to do this when I asked them to. He stated that we had to wait until the other party was finished and even though we had paid a sizable amount of money to have Milan host our event, 'we hadn't finished paying it all yet. I would highly recommend never going there for anything. Hopefully they will go out of business soon. Nice setting, however the food was subpar and expensive, there were rips and tears in the ikea chairs, the chairs and tables were wobbly, and the waitstaff was inexperienced.

It took minutes between each serving of salad, appetizer, entree and to make matters worst the food was cold! I will not be going back. Went here for dinner last night after purchasing a Groupon a few months ago.

Have to say the food was excellent I got the shrimp and scallop polenta and my bf had the seafood stew. Portions were generous. Wine list was a bit pricey. Our waitress was friendly, but food service was a bit slow.

It took nearly 20mins for appetizers to come out but they were delicious, so it was forgiven. Only major complaint I can have is that at first glance the place seems glamorous, but once you look into the details it definitely needs an update. If the food hadn't been so good, I probably would have cut my rating in half.

Also, fyi, we went on a Thursday night and the place was basically empty. Some of the other reviews on here complain about it being packed, but last night it was the exact opposite.

After taking our reservation 3 days earlier, we drove down to the city Christmas night for dinner. Lo and behold when we get there the lights were all dark and two other cars were there waiting for them to open. My guess is they didn't get enough reservations and decided not to open but never bothered to call anyone back or send out any notifications I will not be going back ever to such an inconsiderate place, I do not care if their food or service is any good if they treat customers this way.

Our night was ruined One of the best experiences ever! The food was amazing and the service was very attentive. I will return! My wife and I had one of the best times in years.! We both have stressful careers and 5 children so we figured we really needed some time to unwind so some friends suggested Milan and I will be the first to say that everything was perfect from the wine to the food and ambiance.

It was defiantly a refreshing experience for us to finally enjoy each other. We will be back!!! The Reservation was booked in advance for PM. The waiters severing the drinks in the lounge area were nice. Now waiting for some heat, a guy working for Milan brought in a heating lamp.

It was ok as long as I and others were sitting directly under or near the lamp. But it was still COLD in the room. So I asked her for some bread. Waiting for bread my Crab Cake had gotten cold.

Would I have a party there? Would I go back just to have a drink there? Yes DB. Living and working in D. I rarely have an occasion to travel to Baltimore on the weekend. It was on one of these rare occasions that I visited Milan. The restaurant lounge had a funky look and odd smell when you entered the door. Not sure what that was about, but the place appeared to be clean. We were greeted by a server promptly and order drinks, which arrive expeditiously and were great.

The food was good, not great the calamari over cooked and the pieces were small and cooked to long. The flatbread pizza was nice and had tremendous flavor, I would recommend.

When the server presented the check she did not provide me with an itemized receipt. I thought policies that automatically add money to your checks have to be posted. The credit card receipt she gave me did not indicate the gratuity had been added. The only reason I became aware of this unethical business practice is because I asked for the itemized receipt. During the course of an evening how many people do you think Milan scams? My word to the wise is always get an itemized receipt, check it for errors, it does make you look cheap, but make you look fiscally responsible.

The bartender wasn't the friendly-est Have dinner reservations 2mrrow nite, round 2!!! I recently just a couple hours ago went to a private party at Milan for a friends birthday. The birthday girl was told that she would have to share her party with a Baltimore Raven party as well. What they didn't tell us was that on top of our two parties they were going to allow any and everyone off the street to come in too for a PRICE. The place was so crowded that you could barely walk shocked they didn't get shut down for fire code violations , the waitresses could barely do their jobs because they barely could get to the bar.

So most of us were without drinks unless we wanted to brave the 30 min walk of 2 feet of space from the area we were and the bar. The owner talked to my friend ONCE and said that he would fix things and then was never heard from again until well after closing and my friend wanted to talk to him about the lousy service and all the wrong things with the bill.

To say he was unprofessional would be putting it mildly. Not only did he tell us that there was nothing he could do he proceeded to give excuse after excuse for all the things that went wrong that had nothing to do with our party.

In , a Baltimore District Court judge ruled that live entertainment at Milan must cease after complaints were lodged by community leaders and the city's Department of Housing and Community Development successfully argued it was a zoning violation, according to a May 31, article in The Sun. At present, the site is not zoned for residential units, Marren said. The plan is to wait until after the city's new zoning code is passed under the Transform Baltimore project and move forward with a request for a zoning change.

The project could potentially break ground in mid to late So most of us were without drinks unless we wanted to brave the 30 min walk of 2 feet of space from the area we were and the bar.

This joke of an owner yelled at his staff in front of us..

After all of this he told us we couldn't pay the bill of several hundred dollars with a credit card we could only pay cash. I was looking forward to a pleasnt dinner with my daughter and her friends and ended up very disappointed.

The service was terrible, food preparation was slow and the appetizers and entree were delivered simultaneously. When this was discussed with the owner he did not appear to be too concerned. I recommend that you avoid Milan! Advertise with Us. Saved to Favorites.
