It'll be clearly marked as all worlds with Priority Missions are. As you travel to Rannoch, you'll have a conversation with your Geth Sniper, as well as with your Quarian partner. If said Quarian is Tali, then you'll have a very significant scene when you first touch down on Rannoch. This scene is why we suggested you not take Tali with you for Rannoch's two Side Missions.
After the opening cutscenes, you will touch down on top of a steep slope and drop to a valley leading up to the front gate. Send your Squad to one side and remain on the other.
Stay in cover and snipe the many Geth Troopers below. There are no surprises here, outside of the sheer numbers of Geth Troopers who spawn here. The main way into the facility is blocked, so you'll have to improvise and climb up the side of the base's wall. Look to the right of the now-closed entry gate at the bottom of the hill to spot a series of ledges, pipes and ladders.
Some ammo can be found on the first ledge. As you climb up, send your Squad up one ladder and then climb up the other to flank the Geth Rocket Troopers who appear on the distant walkway. We recommend going up the right-hand ladder as you have a better view of the Rocket Troopers who enter the area. Climb the ladder to the left side of where you encountered the Rocket Troopers.
At the top you can gather ammo and clamber onto some pipes to proceed upwards. In the next area, Geth will appear above and below you. The upper path is safer since you have the high ground, but if you have Sabotage , hack a group of Rocket Troopers on the lower path and let them take out everyone in proximity while you back them up.
Exit the tunnel to find a lone Geth Trooper directly ahead. Shoot them down, then head forward along the walkway to the intersection where it was standing. Here you can use a View Prompt to look down to the bay where the Reaper tech is, just in time for it to be covered up by a Blast Shield. Legion will help you work to getting it open.
Take the right-hand path at the intersection now to progress into the base, where there are numerous Geth Troopers. Stay in cover and snipe them -- Sabotage can capture entire groups of enemies and turn them to your side temporarily here since the area is so cramped.
Geth will now appear both directly in front of you on the walkway and across a chasm on your left, as pointed out by one of your Squad Mates. Deal with the Rocket Troopers first since they're the most pressing issue, then continue to the end of the walkway once all the Geth are gone. In the next area, your waypoint shows a Door Override console.
The Pyros are, somewhat ironically, very susceptible to fire, so take advantage by shooting their fuel tanks with Incendiary Ammo or other fire-based Powers. After hitting a second console, a Geth Prime will arrive with two Rocket Troopers. Last edited by RobotParty ; 19 Dec, am. Just finished ME3. Destroyed the reapers. Cured Genophage with Wrex and Eve as leaders. Brought Rannoch Peace between Quarians and Geth. I was okay with that, and I have hope that this cycle and the Quarians do better with AI this next time around.
EDI died? I wonder if I killed her also. Now that you mention it, not sure I saw her afterwards. That would suck. Originally posted by Malak :. Last edited by SwobyJ ; 22 Dec, am. I know about the Indoctrination theory.
I only had two choices. Also, your list seems contradictory. You say EDI gone or the first line and then survive after that. Originally posted by SwobyJ :. Per page: 15 30 Date Posted: 17 Dec, am. Posts: Discussions Rules and Guidelines. Here you will have the option of either selling Legion's body to Cerberus or activating it to talk to him.
To save both the geth and quarians, do not sell Legion off to Cerberus. Like Tali, Legion is an essential figure to formulating peace between the two species. Not having him around ruins the chance for peace and the chance to see one of the series best companions. Likely the last squad member that Shepard recruits for the suicide mission, Legion's loyalty mission should open up right after he is recruited if he is the last one recruited.
Legion's mission entails Shepard going with him to a geth heretic station, heretics being geth that worship the Reapers, in order to stop them from releasing a virus that would make all geth worship the Reapers.
At the end of the mission, Legion will have Shepard make the choice of either wiping out the remaining heretics or use an EMP pulse to rewrite them. Either outcome would help towards peace though it is important to note that this decision will affect the amount of war assets that both the geth and quarians have to contribute after the Rannoch storyline in Mass Effect 3. Rewriting the geth heretics will give you more geth than quarian assets in Mass Effect 3 whereas destroying them will have the opposite effect.
After Legion's loyalty mission is completed, a cutscene will play out of Joker notifying Shepard that Tali has gone off to have a "chat" with Legion. When Shepard gets to their location, Tali will have a gun drawn on Legion saying she caught Legion trying to send data about the Migrant Fleet to the rest of the geth.
Both will make their points and then Shepard will be prompted to make a decision as to how to resolve it. Provided the player has four bars worth of paragon and renegade points, they will be able to end the argument without siding with one or the other.
Convincing them both to stand down will then see Tali send non-classified data to Legion after understanding his attentions, of which the latter is grateful. This will show Tali that there is a chance for peace and make her vote against war with the geth in the third game.
The suicide mission in Mass Effect 2 can see multiple squad mates bite the dust permanently should Shepard go in unprepared. It is absolutely vital that both Tali and Legion survive, which is easier said than done, since both are the two biggest figures in making peace between their people. Before it can even be launched, three important ship upgrades must be acquired or else Shepard will lose three squad members straight out the gate and one of those could be Tali or Legion.
After dramatically sticking the landing onto the Collector Base, a game plan is formed as to how to move further inside the base.
One of which will require a tech expert to move through a series of vents. Choosing either Tali or Legion for this is best. Do not choose either of these two for other options besides the tech one since they will die if they are given a task ill-suited for their skillset. It is also important that both are loyal so that way if they are given the tech task, they can do it without distractions otherwise they will die.
